I met Jake back in the early 90's in Eugene at Perry's. I fondly remember dancing the night away with him nearby. I remember always finding him very funny, and I loved his sense of style. He was always wearing some great outfit, often with hotpants...(gold hot-pants i think), fake fur jackets, etc. He was always fun and always looked good. I remember the story of him walking through the Rose Garden in Eugene and being hit by lightning! I remember that he said it went down his body and burned holes in his underwear and socks but he was fine! Even though I was not close friends with Jake, I remember him very well. It has been years since I have seen him but there is something about him that kept me from forgetting him. He was seemingly one of those rare people that leave a big impression and that you never forget. I am very sorry to hear of his death. It is a tragic loss to the planet. Angi G.
